Zaplox AB (publ) (“Zaplox”), which offers hotels and casinos a mobile guest journey for a convenient and engaging guest experience, announced that the company would deliver mobile keys in partnership with Agilysys to Island Resort & Casino, a AAA Four Diamond Resort, with 326 rooms in Michigan, USA. The Zaplox SDK will be integrated with Agilysys PMS and lock systems from ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.

This yet another customer win that is generated from the partnership with Agilysys, a leading provider of property management systems (PMS) for casinos and resorts in North America. The Zaplox SDK is part of Agilysys mobile solution rGuest Express Mobile, in which Agilysys benefits from Zaplox’s mobile key platform and knowledge to deliver a mobile guest journey. At Island Resort & Casino, the Zaplox SDK will be integrated with Agilysys Visual One PMS and lock systems from ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.

Island Resort & Casino will now be able to offer guests a contact-free mobile check-in experience with a mobile key that allows guests to go straight to their room and unlock the hotel room door with their phone, throughout their stay. Hotel guests no longer need to wait in line and crowd with other guests in the lobby to check in and get a room key. Meanwhile, the hotel is becoming more efficient with its resources and can offer more revenue-generating services via the guest app, including dinner reservations and spa or golf appointments – presented at a time when guests are more receptive to special offers.

According to the partner agreement between Agilysys and Zaplox, a mobile key order is generated to Zaplox every time Agilysys signs a new customer contract for rGuest Express Mobile. Once the order is received, Zaplox invoices a start-up fee and an ongoing monthly fee per door will be added once the solution is in operation. The Island Resort & Casino project is forecasted at approximately SEK 500,000 if the mobile key solution remains in full operation for seven years (which is an average lifespan of a hotel lock). The agreement does not have any guaranteed volume or revenue levels.
